What we do

Supporting NYC’s Early Intervention program for families

What is Early Intervention?

What is Early Intervention?

A confidential, voluntary and family-centered program which provides services and supports to eligible children with disability or developmental delay. The program is funded by NYS and county governments, with services provided at no cost to the family, although your insurance may be accessed for reimbursement. Unfortunately services outside the auspice of Early Intervention are not reimbursed and are the responsibility of the parents.

Who may be eligible?

Who may be eligible?

Infants and toddlers aged 0-3 years may be referred to the Early Intervention Program. If a child is not playing, growing, moving, talking or learning like their peers or if they have a diagnosed condition that may result in developmental delay, they may be eligible for an Early Intervention evaluation. Eligibility can only be determined by an approved evaluator and if eligible, a plan will be made by EI Officials and parents. EI Officials will then authorize a service provider such as Bloomer Health to deliver the services.
